Starr was Certified as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher in 1996 and combines intuitive Usui Sensei methods with the structured techniques taught by Hawayo Takata. She has studied Reiki in the U.S. and abroad under four Reiki Masters including, in Germany, Frank Arjava Petter who authored Reiki Fire and The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui, and Intuitive Tove I. Anderson of Oslo, Norway. She is also initiated into the Usui-Hayashi-Yamaguchi lineage in Japan.
In 1997 Starr learned Universal Spiritual Healing from Sri Anand of the ICAE, India. She also teaches the Christian version of Laying-On-Of-Hands healing, and is a Certified Master Teacher of Magnified Healing.
Starr is a member and student/volunteer of several organizations including the Edgar Cayce Institute in VA Beach, and the International Spiritual Emergence Network of CA, and pursues study of the Mystical Kabbala through Builders of the Adytum.
DovenStar, Starr's spiritual practice, operates in Lynn, MA. She teaches Reiki throughout New England, Connecticut and Rhode Island and other U.S. States. She also teaches Reiki in countries including Iran, Turkey, Indonesia and Australia through her Reiki Online program.
Her strengths include connecting her clients with deceased loved ones and pets as part of Grief Healing.
Though brought up Methodist and respectful of all religions for the pearls of truth and wisdom they have to offer, Starr pursues and aspires to share the path of Pure Spirit which embodies all religions and all of us.
